Meet Luna, our first custom character, made for a patron.

Luna is an enhanced human. 

She was born in the Federation's agricultural settlement of Arakkis V, and lived a peaceful life with her parents, tending to the family's automated farm. She spent most of her free time with her boyfriend.

When the war broke out, she and all the colonists put in extra work to expand their operation in order to provide food and supplied for StarCommand.
At a time, she even considered enlisting, but eventually decided against it, as her boyfriend wanted to stay on Arakkis V.

When the colony's climate control matrix started malfunctioning, the colonists contacted the Federation and requested the technology required to fix it. Unfortunately, the Federation's resources were spread thin. They kept promising the colonists what they needed, and reassigning it to fixing warships at the last minute. The war effort was all that mattered.

With the climate controls close to failure, Luna realized there was only one option: disassemble the holodeck's core, and its power supply.
Things did not go as planned. The omnidirectional holographic diodes exploded, killing her father, and releasing poisonous liquids in the main chamber, where Luna and her boyfriend were located. Parts of the ceiling started to collapse, trapping Luna under debris. A secondary explosion took her left arm,  and she saw her boyfriend lose his life on the spot. 

When help from the Federation finally arrived, the climate controls had failed, and the colonists had died of cold. They found Luna conserved in the chemicals from the holodeck's leak. She showed no signs of life, but most tissues and organs were still intact.

Luna's body was taken to a classified Federation facility where [REDACTED].

She woke up with a robotic arm, and a very uncomfortable feeling. Her skin color had changed. Part of her head was shaved. She was chained to a wall. Like a reflex, she found herself screaming out an access code. The door to her cell opened, her robotic arm powered up. She was able to escape from the facility, naked, and made her way to a ship. A part of her knew exactly what to look for. She did not understand where her knowledge of the facility, and her new abilities came from. 
Before stealing a warp capable ship, she hacked into the base's computer, and accessed the StarCommand's roster and personnel assignment, looking for a specific name, driven by an uncontrollable drive to seek and kill. And finally she found where her target was assigned: a ship named "USS Ecstasy".
